Guest Speaker: Suzanne Porter

Suzanne Porter, Chief Executive of the Taranaki Arts Festival Trust, is guest speaker to the Taranaki Property Investors Assn on Tuesday September 18, at St Mary’s Peace Hall, Vivian St, 7.30 pm.

Suzanne’s talk will cover TAFT’s partnership development success in creating and maintaining four major festival events and also the links between these events and New Plymouth/Taranaki as a destination, a place to live and a place to invest in property.

Originally from the Hawkes Bay Suzanne held various senior positions in local government and also did a stint for Telecom in Wellington.

She previously managed New Plymouth’s award-winning Puke Ariki museum, library and visitor information centre and has held senior management positions in the public and private sector.

Established in 1991, the Taranaki Arts Festival Trust  was originally created to manage a biennial arts festival. TAFT now manages four major festivals:             

WOMAD New Zealand (annual event)Taranaki Festival of the Arts (biennial event); Powerco Taranaki Garden Festival (annual); Right Royal Cabaret Festival (biennial).
